An entire fraternity was persecuted by the Rolling Stone for a crime that wasn’t committed, but the following prominent individuals care more about future rape “victims” instead of actual male victims of the establishment whose lives suffered due to the efforts of their media colleagues. They insist on using the biggest media controversy of the past year to push a twisted agenda without admitting that there was absolutely no rape at UVA.
Katie Love — Reporter for NBC4 Columbus (Ohio)
Rolling Stone retracts article about #UVA gang-rape. We must hope this doesn’t hurt other victims who come forward. http://t.co/HQZ41eNza2

Jessica Valenti — Writer for The Guardian
Instead of taking responsibility, Rolling Stone blames their failure on–wait for it–caring too much for rape victims. http://t.co/jqoNLSFJFF

Lorrie Goldstein — Columnist for Toronto Sun
Worst thing about Rolling Stone’s bogus ‘campus rape’ story? It will discourage women who are victims of sexual assault from coming forward.

Charles Johnson — Co-founded Pajamas Media
The worst thing about the Rolling Stone debacle: it gave disgusting misogynists like @ChuckCJohnson ammunition to attack rape victims.

Dafna Linzer — MSNBC editor
Rolling Stone editor blames exactly 2 people, both women: Jackie, and the reporter who “convinced” a male editor to drop journalistic rules

Chloe Angyal — Writer for OpEd Project and Feministing
There are absolutely no winners in the RS debacle. None. Except rapists & their apologists, whose lives have just been made so much easier.

It’s a shame that these individuals have zero sympathy for men who were charged for a crime they didn’t commit. Their efforts will simply encourage women to come forward with bogus stories that continue to harm men.
