Antoine Roquentin is an absurdist and polyglot who believes that it’s a Sisyphean task to attempt to reverse cultural decline. Instead, he indulges in travel abroad, learning foreign languages, and only the company of women that bring meaning to his existence. He is currently planning a new life as a self-made man running his own business.
