In spring 2017, a new shameless method of micro wealth-extraction has surfaced on swipe-based dating apps such as Tinder.
Screenshots of various female Tinder profiles along with their account information from Venmo, a payment app, have recently spread through the internet like wildfire. I’ve seen a lot gold-digging in my day, but I have to say even I was a little shocked at just how brazen and transparent many women have become with turning men into docile doormats and personal ATMs. It used to be something they knew was bad and would try to hide it, or if you were lucky they just didn’t do it at all.
Welcome to the 21st century
Some of the Tinder e-begging you’ll encounter will be from automated scambots.
But you know it’s for real if she posts her actual social media accounts and financial accounts directly in her bio:
Preying on the well-intentioned but grossly naive generosity of weak men with no better options, these girls make a hobby of shaking down simps for small amounts of cash. It may not seem like a lot of money on the surface, but what happens when you’re a cute girl in the digital marketplace surrounded by an endless swarm of sniveling beta males who will eagerly shell out the bucks for a virtual e-hug?
Those micro-deposits add up when you’re selling bottled water in a thirsty desert. The end result is that the girls laugh their way to the bank after taking advantage of the misguided nice guy.

The concerning factor here is not that a few random or troubled girls are doing things like this; it’s the growing trend that we all are witnessing, encouraged in pop culture and female role models. And worst of all, it’s being tolerated by men. You get what you put up with.
The sheer quantity of “normal” girls in America who are opting into casual prostitution with sugar daddies just because they can is astonishing. They either hide these types of things from the men they are interested in dating, or the men tolerate it, turn a blind eye and get what they put up with.
When you hear about some random theoretical girl prostituting herself it’s not really a big deal. But what if I told you that a growing majority of your generation’s dating pool is cashing in without you even realizing it? The women you know? The women you chase after? Your sisters and cousins? Your girlfriends and wives?
I wish I was joking but this is the new norm
It’s just not on the mainstream radar yet. Pay to play is law of the land in the modern American dating scene. Yes, you can search for exceptions and find them but the general trend is growing rapidly and that fact remains.
As a man who’s interested in talking to millennial women without her trying to profit from you, the best solution might be to head for the greener pastures of developing countries where the epidemic has yet to spread. Or you can remain in America where its scam or be scammed.
